Skyline Boys Report

The Skyline Boys Quartet was very successful.

Thank you to the Missions and anyone else who helped with the dinner and all of the advertising to make that night a success.

It’s been a while since such high octane music has been heard at First Baptist Church.  The Skyline Boys out of Purcellville, Va. presented a powerful ministry through music, story, humor, and no nonsense basics of the Christian religion on the evening of June 19th.  A crowd of 110 enthusiastically supported the Boys with applause, laughter, and sincere silence at the meditative moments.  A minimum offering of  $500 was requested but in a spirit of high emotion and generosity the group was sent on its way with $800.  Certainly it was a memorable moment in recent First Baptist history.

Exodus 33:12-23 gives us this report:

12 Moses said to the Lord, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’ 13 If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.” Read the rest of this entry »

The Skyline Boys

The Skyline Boys will be performing on June 19th for First Baptist!  The Concert will begin at 7:00 P.M., and there will be a dinner in the Church beforehand.

From the group’s website:

Over the years, the Skyline Boys have appeared all over the country and have made a name on television and radio. Though the members have changed the message has stayed the same. The priority has always been to bring the plan of salvation to the lost and to uplift fellow Christians. They count the many who have given their lives to Christ through their ministry as the greatest blessing of all.

Please check out the website for bios, pictures and music samples.
